Gadwal : Located 60 kms from Kurnool , Gadwal is famous for the Chenna Kesava Swamy temple built by the Rajas of Gadwal in the 17th century A.D. Another temple, Venkateswara Swamy Temple , situated at Kurumurthy, 20 kms from Gadwal, is located on a hillock. This temple is very popular and is also known as the poor man's Tirupati.

Gadwall excels in weaving cotton and silk sarees in alluring designs. Rich traditional designs adorn the pallu and border. Most commonly used motif is the mango.

Kollapur : The Madhava Swamy temple at Kollapur was originally built by the Rajas of jetprole during the 16th century A.D. on the left bank of River Krishna, at Mahchalakatta. The architecture of the temple is exceedingly beautiful. All around the temple walls, the beautifully carves sculptures depict the 24 aspects of Vishnu and the Dasa-Avatars of Vishnu. Various pillar supporting the Mandapa, the Garudalaya, add beauty to the temple complex. Due to submergences under the Srisailam project transplanted at Kollapur. This temple is located 180 kms from Hyderabad and 110 kms from Kurnool & Mahabubnagar.

Srinangapur : Srirangapur is situated at a distance of 12 kms from Wanaparthy, which is 100 kms from Mahabubnagar. Here you find Sri Ranganaykaswamy temple built during the 18th century A.D. according to a legend, once Krishnadeva Raya visited Srirangam and desired to construct Sri Tanaganyaka Swamy temple in his kingdom. On that night, he dreamt that Sri Ranganayaka Swamy told him that he is at some place in is kingdom an eagle would lead Kirshnadeva Raya to that place. Next day, the king followed the eagle and found Sri Ranganayakaswamy's idol between the Kothakota & Karapakala hills. The temple was built on the bund of Ratna Pushpakarni lake.
