Dwarapudi : A small village 30 Kms from Kakinada , it has shot into prominence and is attracting tourists because of beautiful temples of Ayyappa Swamy and Lord Shiva.

     

Biccavolu : Located 35 Kms from Kakinada , Biccavolu is known for beautiful stone temples of Lord Shiva. Built by the Eastern Chalukyas in the 9th - 10th centuries, the tempies are a fine example of the architectural grandeur that was typical of the Dravidian style. A stone sculpture of Ganesha in the village is a masterpiece of Chalukyan craftsmanship.

     

Dwarapudi : Upadda, a beach town located 20 Kms from Kakinada is famous for beautifully designed cotton sarees. At Peddapuram, 20 Kms from Kakinada one can shop for exquisitely designed silk sarees produced by local weavers.

Bandarulanka, 4 Kms from Amalapuram is yet another famous place for choicest silk and cotton sarees manufactured locally.

Amalapuram : Every nature lover's dream come true, Amalapuram is blessed with lush fields, coconut groves, green paims and is cris crossed by small canals. This picturesque village 50 Kms from Kakinada offers easy access to other places of tourist interest such as Vigneswara temple at Inavally, Vireswara temple at Muramalla, Uma Koppulingeswara Swamy.

Gollalamamidada : Located 25 Kms from Rajahmundry , this small village is famous for the Sri Kodanda Rama temple. The Gopuram of this temple towers over 160 metres and the beautiful idols of Sri Rama, Sri Sita Mahalakshmi and Sri Lakshmana, are a sight to behold.

Samarlakota : Located 15 Kms from Kakinada , Samarlakota is famous for a Shaivite temple, considered to be one of the Pancharams in the state. This Bhimeswara Swamy temple built during the 11 th century, reflects the Chola Chalukya style of architecture.

Coringa Wild Life Sanctuary : Situated 20 Kms from Kakinada and 70 Kms from Rajahmundry , this sanctuary is a part of river Godavari and has a rich growth of Mangrove plantations. An unique feature of this sanctuary is that it's locate on the back waters of the sea. Otter a protected species is found here among other animals which include Fishing Cat, Jackal, Sea Turtle and Estuarine Crocodile (found in the creeks). The common birds found are Snipes, Ducks, Sea Gulls and Flamingos.
