Life
Park : Spread
over an area of 2.5 acres and locate d near Alipiri Gate, this
Unique Park has been conceived and developed by the Regional
Science Centre, a unit of the National Council fo Science
Museums. This contains replicas of creatures like Giant Dragon
Flies, Land Scorpions, reptiles like dinosaurs, Archaeopetrux
bird, the Lemur, a primitive mammal, and many other animals
and creatures that live some 250 to 500 millios of year ago.
Entry fee Rs. 5 per head/- Rs. 2 for per head for organized
School Groups. Open on a ll days from 10 am to
6 pm
.
Sri
Venkateswara Sanctuary : Spread
over 500 acres, this wildlife sanctuary and national park has
a number of species of flora and fauna and provided and ideal
leisure spot.
Chandragiri
: The
Vijayanagar empire contributed vastly to Telugu culture, art
and literature. The last capital of the Vijayanagar Kings was
Chandagiri on the banks of the River Swarnamukhi
Chittoor district, Ruins Raja Mahal and Rani Mahal
palaces that have been giver a facelift and beautified. The
fort atop a huge rock that stands 56 metres tall is just 12 km
from the temple town of
Tirupati
.

Kanipakam
: This
is a 11 century Vinayaka temple and the peculiarity is hat the
idol seems to be frowing in size. A'Kawacham' (breast
plate)made for the idol half a century ago has become too
small for it now Knaipakam is about 70 km from Tirupati and 12
km from Chitoor. Ph. 08573-281747.
Srikalahasti
: The
temple
of
Siva
in the form of a 'Vayulinga' lies 36 km from Tirupati.
Accordijg to legend, a spider placed a gem atop it and Hasti,
and elephant brought water in its trunk to wash the Linga. All
three were aredent worshippers of Siva. The flame (Deepam) in
the
temple
flickere
frequentlyu as air (Vayu) is said to be constantly emanating
